A New Era of Happiness Ahead?

What I'm thinking about this weekend...

We’re in the middle of a large-scale experiment. Working from home or remotely has been trending but has not gone mainstream. How many companies will find productivity and wellbeing increases beyond this current moment and despite these circumstances? #WFH

What if larger companies can realize a new way to leverage #WFH and reinvent the office as a hub with homes and other remote locations as spokes and nodes for work/ers?

What would we do with the excess office space in dense urban areas or suburbs? Maybe convert to housing - particularly affordable housing? Could we repurpose lower levels for reimagined small business hubs, grocers, makers, etc?

Would we ultimately reduce our carbon footprint? Use more public transit? Bike and walk more? Drive less?

Many more of us are spending more time with our families and seeing more of our neighbors. We’re increasing the intensity of our connections. Could this increase our collective wellbeing and be the dawn of a new era of happiness in the U.S.?

What a future that might be?
